A community coming together to protect our mineral rights

OUR MISSION: TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY THE BEST WE CAN AND/OR REFER THEM TO PROPER AVENUES FOR PROBLEMS AND CONCERNS, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, TO INFORM THEM THEY HAVE A CHOICE AND OFFER THE MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY ANOTHER CHOICE AND AVENUE FOR THEIR MINERAL LEASING!!! East 80 Oil and Gas Coalition, L.L.C.
We have added a page for Disaster Victim Needs (link on the menu bar to the left). If there is anything that we can do to help those affected please contact Eric Clarke at 318-426-4658 and we will do what we can to either assist and/or find assistance for those affected.

(THE DECISION YOU MAKE NOW WITH THE LEASE YOU SIGN COULD AFFECT YOU FOR Possibly 15 or MORE YEARS, since the lease can extend beyond the agreed upon terms if it is held by production. In short, if the oil/gas company doing the drilling hits gas and you receive a royalty check, your lease does not terminate until production stops.)
Because of the continued calls we have been receiving from residents within the coalition area asking to be included in the coalition, we have decided to drop the October 1, 2008 joinup deadline. We will now continue accepting new members until we have a written and binding contractual agreement with one of the oil and gas companies. If you wish to become a member of the East 80 Oil and Gas Coalition, PLEASE get your Non-binding Letters of Intent completed and turned is as soon as absolutely possible.
This is a not-for-profit organization, in which members of our community have joined together to pull our community together into a large group to negotiate with the oil and gas companies working in our area. This is in efforts to safeguard our community with the added clauses in a lease to do so and to receive the best negotiated price for the leasing of our mineral rights. It is your land, your minerals, your home and your community. Therefore, it should be your lease, not someone elses, and your money that stays in your pocket! So, help us grow and be successful by joining our group to safeguard our community!!!!
Gas Companies want to drill for, and extract natural gas from the Haynesville Shale, on which our properties sit. These companies will pay to lease the right to legally trespass on and/or under our properties’ soil ( commonly called a signing bonus - paid one time only) to extract our minerals and then further pay to purchase our minerals (commonly called royalties - paid on a continual basis - usually monthly), specifically natural gas/oil (hydrocarbons).
The East 80 Oil and Gas Leasing Coalition (hereafter referred to as “the Group”) represents properties within the parts Haughton, Red Chute, Bellevue and Princeton areas, as noted on our coverage area page, that are joining together in hopes of negotiating a favorable lease agreement between the oil/gas companies and property owners for their mineral rights within the Group.
We Will Not Accept any Negotiated agreement for a Bonus less than $17,500.00 (minimum) nor any Royalty less than ¼ (minimum) at no cost royalties. This to also include MOST IMPORTANTLY several non-negotiable clauses to protect our community, people, property values, and children for many years to come, based on the projections of geologist with regards to the Haynesville Shale’s projected production and current productions. It has always been and will continue to always be a TAKE EVERYONE OR TAKE NONE STAND, when it comes to coalition negotiations!!!! Also, please understand that this may take time to obtain for everyone but it will be well worth the wait, with our coalition’s stance and end negotiating results!!!!!
Here's a simple way for the Coalition to grow. Each member get a member - that means you, and you, and you!!
